Full Job Description

Accounting office bookkeeper- maintains accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, reconciling bank statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, updating general ledgers, and processing payroll. Key skills include proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, excel, word, outlook), data entry accuracy, and high attention to detail.

Core Responsibilities

Transaction Recording: Accurately record all daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, and expenses, into the general ledger.
Accounts Management: Process accounts payable (vendor invoices) and accounts receivable (client invoicing and collections).
Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records monthly.
Payroll Processing: Calculate, prepare, and process employee payroll.
Reporting: Assist with preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Tax Compliance: Support the tax preparation process by organizing data for tax forms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or in a similar office role.
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Outlook.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (debits/credits).
Data Entry: High accuracy and speed in data entry.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client or vendor interactions.
Education: High school diploma required; a degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
