ABOUT THE FAMILY
A warm, gracious, and highly accomplished retired couple is seeking an exceptional Personal Assistant to become an integral part of their established household team.
The principals maintain multiple luxury residences and enjoy an active lifestyle centered around family, entertaining, travel, business, and social interests. Their primary residence is a historic Buckhead estate in Atlanta, complemented by residences in Memphis, Tennessee; Cashiers, North Carolina; and Miramar Beach, Florida.
Their homes are warm, inviting, beautifully appointed, and comfortable. The principals enjoy gathering with friends and family while maintaining quiet, peaceful private quarters. They value discretion, organization, thoughtful service, and a calm, collaborative household environment.
The household is fully staffed and includes an Estate Manager, Chief Business Officer, Traveling Chef, Office Assistant/Administrator, Housekeepers, Ranch Managers, Barn Staff, Caretakers, and specialty vendors.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity for a sophisticated, polished, and highly capable Personal Assistant who thrives in an elegant private-service environment.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, emotionally intelligent, and naturally anticipatory. They should enjoy managing details, creating beautiful guest experiences, and supporting the principals with professionalism, discretion, and warmth.
The Personal Assistant will meet regularly with the principal to establish priorities and will work closely with the Estate Manager, Chef, household staff, and outside vendors to ensure that the principals’ personal schedules, residences, travel, and entertaining needs are handled seamlessly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal and Administrative Support
- Meet daily with the principal to establish priorities, reminders, and action items
- Manage complex calendars, appointments, schedules, and personal commitments
- Assist with email management and household communications
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare detailed itineraries
- Manage mail, shipping, errands, and personal shopping
- Maintain organized files, records, planning notes, and household information
- Anticipate needs and provide thoughtful, respectful reminders
- Take ownership of tasks that make the principals’ lives easier and more organized
- Purchase and beautifully wrap gifts for family, friends, and special occasions
Household and Lifestyle Support
- Coordinate communication between the principals, household staff, and multiple residences
- Assist with wardrobe management, seasonal clothing rotations, packing, and unpacking
- Organize closets, household supplies, and storage areas
- Assist with seasonal décor changes, purchasing, storage, and refurbishing
- Source household items, accessories, supplies, and personal purchases as needed
- Work with the principal to create manuals documenting preferred tabletop settings, centerpieces, and entertaining standards for each residence
- Maintain an organized inventory of entertaining supplies and accessories
Entertaining and Guest Experience
- Coordinate all aspects of entertaining with guests, the Chef, household staff, and vendors
- Assist with luncheons, dinner parties, mahjong gatherings, houseguests, and other social events
- Prepare residences for guests and special occasions
- Welcome houseguests and ensure they are comfortably settled
- Arrange beautiful welcome baskets, beverages, snacks, and thoughtful guest amenities
- Supervise event setup and cleanup
- Occasionally provide front-of-house support during events
- Maintain detailed records and planning notes for recurring parties and events
- Demonstrate a strong eye for symmetry, color, presentation, fine accessories, and elegant service
Travel and Multiple-Residence Support
The principals move between residences approximately monthly and travel internationally for approximately eight weeks per year.
The Personal Assistant will occasionally travel to the principals’ other residences for brief working visits to:
- Prepare residences before seasonal arrivals
- Assist with opening, closing, or winterizing homes
- Reorganize household supplies, closets, and storage areas
- Prepare residences for houseguests or special events
- Coordinate seasonal wardrobe and décor transitions
- Assist with advance work before the principals arrive
The Personal Assistant will not typically remain with the principals for their entire stay outside of Atlanta. Travel will generally consist of shorter trips for advance preparation, guest support, organization, or residence opening and closing.
All approved business travel expenses will be paid by the principals. Travel time is considered work time. The employee will track all hours worked and may take compensatory time off to help balance the workweek when travel or entertaining requires additional hours. There may occasionally be weeks exceeding 40 hours.
SCHEDULE
- Monday through Friday
- Generally 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Flexibility required for entertaining, guests, special events, and travel
- Staff are typically finished by 3:00 PM on Fridays and are off through the weekend unless the principals are entertaining or hosting houseguests
- The principals prefer privacy, quiet, and limited household activity after 7:00 PM and on weekends when guests are not present

QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant Personal Assistant, Executive Personal Assistant, or private household experience
- Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals or families strongly preferred
- Excellent calendar, scheduling, and travel-management skills
- Fluency with Apple technology, including Apple Calendar, Mail, and related applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience coordinating events, entertaining, and guest services
- Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills
- A sophisticated eye for style, design, presentation, and hospitality
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Ability to relocate to the Atlanta area if not currently local
- Ability to work around dogs
HOUSEHOLD DETAILS
The household includes a 10-year-old Shih Tzu. The family’s Goldendoodle also occasionally visits. Pet care is primarily handled by the Housekeepers, although the Personal Assistant may assist as needed.
There are no children residing in the household. The principals’ daughter visits frequently with her young child and nanny, and their granddaughter occasionally stays overnight.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary up to $170,000 annually, depending on experience
- Two weeks of paid time off
