Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our creative team. In this role, you will bring garments and textiles to life through expert sewing, tailoring, and repair work. Your craftsmanship will ensure each piece meets high standards of quality, fit, and finish. The ideal candidate is passionate about fabric and design, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. Duties

Measure clients or project specifications accurately to ensure proper fit and tailoring adjustments
Sew, alter, and repair garments, textiles, or fabric items with precision and care
Use various sewing machines, tools, and techniques to achieve desired finishes
Collaborate with clients or team members to understand specific needs and preferences
Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and accessories for each project based on durability and aesthetic qualities
Assist with fitting sessions and make necessary adjustments promptly to meet deadlines

Qualifications

Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor in settings such as salons, spas, hotels, private residences, or clinics
Strong sewing skills with proficiency in using different types of sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques
Familiarity with garment construction, alterations, and fabric handling
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship standards
Ability to interpret measurements accurately and execute precise alterations
Experience providing personal service in environments with adults, adolescents, elderly individuals or in office building settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of appointment scheduling and client communication is a plus
Reliable transportation assistance skills for errand running or material procurement are advantageous
