Job Title: Senior Workday Business Analyst (Hybrid Onsite)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 9 Months
Interview Type: Web Cam or In-Person
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Business Analyst to support stabilization, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex integrations between Workday and external benefits providers. The resource will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, Workday functional and technical teams, integration developers, and external provider teams.
The primary focus will be investigating issues across multiple system boundaries and determining whether discrepancies are caused by source data, Workday configuration, benefits or retirement plan configuration, integration logic, data mapping, transaction processing, provider-side processing, or expected system behavior.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, Workday HCM and integration experience, and the ability to trace employee, payroll, and benefits transactions end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and troubleshoot Workday integrations with external benefits and retirement providers.
- Trace employee lifecycle, benefits, payroll, and retirement transactions end-to-end.
- Investigate hires, transfers, job changes, compensation changes, payroll events, terminations, and other transactions affecting benefits eligibility, enrollment, contributions, and reporting.
- Perform root-cause analysis to determine whether issues originate from source data, Workday configuration, benefit plan configuration, integration logic, mapping, timing, processing, or external provider systems.
- Review inbound and outbound files, integration messages, logs, reports, Workday transactions, integration outputs, and provider responses.
- Analyze integration data, mappings, transformation rules, and technical artifacts.
- Work with benefits and retirement subject matter experts to understand business rules, expected results, and business impact.
- Collaborate with Workday functional teams, developers, integration teams, vendors, and external providers to validate findings and implement corrective actions.
- Document root-cause analysis, findings, business rules, dependencies, and recommended resolutions.
- Distinguish actual system defects from expected behavior resulting from configuration, business rules, or data relationships.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end data flow diagrams covering employee, payroll, retirement, and benefits transactions.
- Track assigned issues, provide status updates, and drive problems through resolution.
- Validate fixes and confirm corrected transactions produce expected results across integrated systems.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend broader configuration, integration, process, or data improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting HCM ERP implementations, production stabilization, or complex system integrations.
- 3+ years of Workday experience, particularly with HCM, Benefits, Payroll, integrations, and employee lifecycle transactions.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to trace data and transactions across multiple systems.
- Experience analyzing integration data, mappings, transformation rules, logs, reports, and related technical artifacts.
- Ability to understand complex business processes and translate business requirements into technical or functional investigations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
