As a veterinarian at Heartland Veterinary Partners, you will provide quality care to patients and empathetic service to clients. You will partner with other veterinarians, technicians, and client service representatives to operate as an efficient and productive team.

Littlestown Veterinary Hospital

Practice:

Littlestown Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, primary care practice. We provide a variety of services including wellness and sick patient care, medical diagnostics, and on-site surgeries.

Position Purpose:

We're looking for a compassionate, collaborative Associate Veterinarian to join our team. Whether you're an experienced DVM or a recent graduate, you'll find a supportive environment where you're encouraged to practice medicine your way while continuing to grow. Our experienced veterinarians genuinely enjoy mentoring and are committed to helping new associates build confidence, develop their clinical interests, and achieve their professional goals.

Our hospital provides a diverse caseload that includes preventive care, wellness medicine, surgery, dentistry, and exotic animal medicine. We see a wide variety of exotic species, making this an excellent opportunity for veterinarians who already enjoy working with exotics or are excited to gain more experience. Our team is always happy to share knowledge, making it easy to expand your skills in a collaborative setting.

Dentistry is an important part of what we do. We perform a high volume of dental procedures and place a strong emphasis on oral health, preventive care, and client education. Whether you're already comfortable with dentistry or looking to strengthen your skills, you'll have the support and hands-on mentorship needed to continue developing in this area.

Essential Responsibilities:

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.

Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

USD $115,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
