Full Job Description

Marketing/Admissions Coordinator, and it is consistent with the business needs of the facility. These are legitimate measures of the qualifications for a Marketing Admissions Coordinator, and are related to the functions that are essential to the job:

KNOWLEDGE BASE:

~ Marketing or community relations experience, including knowledge of health care industry.

~Excellent people skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in public speaking situations.

~Requires the ability to work independently. Extensive local travel.

~Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below. ~Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and handicapped people.

~Ability to comply with the Patient Dill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities.

~Ability to comply with Company and departmental and safety policies and procedures.

~Ability to read and write the English language.

~Develop and implement facility marketing plans, including a minimum of 24 hours per week of calling or meeting with hospital discharge planners, physicians, senior citizen organizations, and/or social service organizations.

~Make speaking presentations on long-term care, aging or other appropriate topics to local community groups.

~Conduct facility tours and complete daily admissions process for prospective residents. Prepare weekly reports as required.

~Promote internal efforts for community relations programs.

~ Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and private insurance

~Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills; Strong working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines.

~ Must qualify for company insurance, pass DMV check, practice safe defensive driving skills.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration

2 years experience as an Admissions Coordinator

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting: 5 hours per 8 hour shift. Alternates occasionally to standing or walking. Standing 1-2 hours in an 8 hour work shift. Alternates frequently to walking and silting, Walking 1-2 hours in an 8 hour work shift.

Standing Driving: 3 - 6 hours in an 8 hours work shift.
Reliability, trustworthiness and consistency with regard to attendance is extremely important to this job. The ability to regularly and timely attend work, cooperative and politely work and deal with others, and to effectively multi task and work in a stressful environment are also essential functions to this job.
