Full Job Description

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Construction & Design Legal Assistant (5034) to join its Seattle office. This role supports attorneys in the Litigation and/or Real Estate/Construction & Design practice groups and is ideal for a detail-oriented legal administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This is a refill position with a well-established firm known for its collaborative culture and strong support structure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Prepare, revise, file, and serve pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents
Draft correspondence and legal documents from transcription, handwritten drafts, and notes
Apply formatting, track changes, redlining, proofreading, editing, labeling, and redacting documents
Coordinate document production and prepare attorney and court working notebooks
Manage electronic court filings in state and federal courts
Maintain attorney calendars and monitor docketing deadlines
Enter, proofread, and manage time entries, proformas, and client invoices
Process expense reports and assist with billing inquiries
Communicate with clients and outside counsel via phone and email
Open new client matters and maintain electronic and physical files
Schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and support general administrative needs
Provide coverage for other practice assistants during high-volume periods

Who We’re Looking For:

Minimum 3 years of legal administrative experience, preferably in litigation and/or construction law
Electronic court filing experience required
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Typing speed of 60+ wpm
Experience with law firm software (iManage, Adobe Acrobat, Aderant, Carpe Diem, Intapp, etc.) preferred
Strong proofreading, formatting, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Professional communication skills and strong client service mindset
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and highly regarded firm offering long-term stability, strong team support, and hybrid flexibility after 60 days (3 days in office / 2 remote). The position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime, with access to a comprehensive benefits package and discretionary bonus program.

Compensation: $59,000 to $98,000 Annually, DOE
