Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy chiropractic office. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with medical office procedures, and proficiency with various electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual in Spainish is a plus.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Schedule appointments using EMR systems
Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures
Collect payments and process medical collections accurately
Manage patient intake forms and update medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to address patient inquiries and appointment requests
Maintain accurate documentation review and ensure all patient information is current and complete
Assist with billing processes, and collections at the front desk
Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records
Ensure confidentiality of health information in accordance with HIPAA standards
Perform clerical duties including data entry, faxing, scanning, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems)

Requirements

Proven experience in a medical receptionist or front desk role within a healthcare setting; clinic or dental office experience is preferred
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Chirotouch or Chirospring
Knowledge of insurance verification processes
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software
Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Bilingual (Spainish) abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for patient privacy and data security
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration or related fields is advantageous
