Production Technician – Entry Level ~ Connector & Wire Assembly
Location: Mesa, Arizona
Shift:
7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Monday - Friday
Overtime during weekdays and weekends based on business needs
What does a Production Technician do?
You support production of aerospace connectors, cable assemblies, and wire harnesses. You perform detailed assembly and soldering work under a microscope. You follow written instructions and quality standards. You work with epoxy potting and small components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble connectors, cable assemblies, and wire harnesses per work instructions
- Perform hand soldering per J-STD-001 requirements
- Perform detailed work under a microscope for extended periods
- Handle small parts with steady hands and strong attention to detail
- Perform epoxy potting of connectors and assemblies
- Follow IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 requirements and internal quality standards
- Record production data and complete required documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety and manufacturing requirements
- Support rework and inspection activities as needed
What are you bringing to the table?
- Entry level manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
- Hands-on soldering experience per J-STD-001 preferred
- U.S. citizenship or valid U.S. permanent residency required due to ITAR regulations
- Ability to sit for long periods and work behind a microscope
- Steady hands and strong hand eye coordination
- Ability to perform precise and repetitive tasks
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Willingness to learn IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC 620 certification or training
- J-STD-001 certification or hands-on experience
- Experience with cable assembly, wire stripping, crimping, soldering, or potting
- Aerospace or regulated manufacturing experience
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to handle small components and tools
- Good vision with or without correction
- Ability to work under a microscope as needed
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
