Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Field Supervisor to support our Commercial Department Manager by overseeing field operations, glazing projects, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards, within budget, safety, quality and timeline goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial glazing, with expertise in various trades including carpentry, glass installation, and remodeling. This role involves supervising field personnel, coordinating job site activity, and serving as a critical link between the office and job site.

Duties

Supervise and manage commercial/fabrication field personnel
Interview, hire, and conduct performance reviews for field staff
Oversee project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, safety, and quality standards are met
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations (OSHA, lead-based paint, etc.)
Train staff in use of tools, materials, safety protocols, and company technology
Coordinate closely with project managers, coordinators, and contractors
Conduct job site visits and handle escalated customer service issues
Maintain records of job progress, safety certifications, and fleet maintenance
Enter daily job reports in the CRM system
Quality control (QC) of installations to meet company standards
Review field paperwork and verify installation measurements
Attend pre-construction meetings and job walks with general contractors
Conduct site walks with new/existing customers to determine best needs for the project.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in the commercial window/glass industry
Strong knowledge of glass & glazing, doors, and hardware
Familiarity with reading and interpreting shop drawings, plans, and revisions
Experience managing teams and training employees
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and leadership skills
Knowledge of applicable safety codes (OSHA, lead paint, etc.)
Ability to problem-solve and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally
Valid certifications for boom and scissor lifts (or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge of safety regulations in the construction industry is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
