Full Job Description

Boutique wealth management firm in Tempe, Arizona has a unique opportunity for an investment advisor / financial planner. Redpoint Wealth Management is one of Dave Ramsey's Arizona SmartVestor Pros and is affiliated with LPL Financial, the largest independent broker/dealer in the country. We have all of the resources of the largest firms including cutting-edge technology and investment advisory platforms that are second-to-none in the industry, but the personal touch of a small family practice. We have a steady flow of daily referrals from Dave Ramsey for prospective new clients. In addition, we have approximately 65 existing client households we would like to transition over to a new advisor to help service. You must have the heart of a teacher and deliver personalized investment solutions to help clients work toward their long-term financial goals. You must be familiar with and/or have a general understanding of the principles Dave Ramsey teaches and be aligned with our firm’s investment philosophy. The ideal candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit who has the mindset of a small business owner, not someone just looking for a job at a large wirehouse or bank. Our goal is to find someone who can see themselves as a future leader of the firm with ownership opportunities and be an integral part of the succession planning process when the firm’s principal retires.

We provide a compensation package that rewards hard work and has no ceiling on potential income. We believe it is important to not only incentivize new client acquisition but reward advisors for excellent customer service and the retention of our existing client base. Our business model is advisory fee-based and not driven by the sale of commissionable products. We are an ensemble advisory firm offering a base salary, advisory fee sharing based on assets under management and quarterly bonus opportunities. Starting total compensation is dependent on experience, current securities industry licensing, and whether or not the advisor has an existing client book of business. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and a 401(k) plan with a 4% company match.

Responsibilities

· Communicate promptly with new and existing client inquiries

· Develop an understanding of client financial situations

· Conduct periodic reviews that address ongoing client needs

· Provide financial planning support to clients

· Support team members to cultivate existing and new client relationships

Qualifications

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience

· Industry experience preferred

· Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) required

· Series 7 strongly preferred or ability to pass Series 7 exam required

· Series 65 or 66 strongly preferred or ability to pass Series 65 or 66 exams required

· CFP® designation preferred or a strong desire to obtain

· Enrolled Agent (EA) tax designation preferred or a strong desire to obtain

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work well in a team environment

· Follow existing workflows and processes

· Must be coachable, missional and reliable
