Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead a team of hospitality professionals. Your leadership will drive the restaurant’s success by maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and team performance. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop managerial skills within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where teamwork and enthusiasm are celebrated.

Duties

Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff shifts, ensuring smooth service flow, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Support staff training initiatives to enhance team skills in food preparation, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service excellence.
Oversee food safety protocols, proper food handling, inventory control, and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Handle cash transactions accurately, manage POS system operations, and perform cash handling duties with integrity.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability.
Lead by example in supervising kitchen activities, including cooking, food production, and catering or banquet services when required.
Participate in hiring processes through interviewing candidates and evaluating team members for potential growth opportunities.
Support management in analyzing profit and loss statements, budgeting efforts, and implementing strategies for operational improvement.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and staff development initiatives.

Qualifications

Proven experience in quick service or Fine dining restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management.
Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience within the hospitality or food industry is essential.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and transaction processing is required.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and inventory control procedures.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Experience in managing hospitality teams across casual dining, fine dining, catering, or hotel settings is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills coupled with basic math proficiency for budgeting and profit analysis.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
