Responsibilities
Floral Design
- Create floral arrangements following shop recipes and quality standards
- Process, hydrate, and care for fresh flowers and plants
- Prepare bouquets, vase arrangements, sympathy designs, and seasonal products
- Maintain freshness, quality, and presentation of flowers throughout the day
- Assist with holiday production and special event/wedding preparation
Customer Experience
- Welcome customers and provide outstanding in-person and phone service
- Help customers select arrangements, gifts, and add-on products
- Coordinate and track daily and event orders
- Enter customer orders accurately using our POS system
- Resolve customer questions with professionalism and care
Shop Operations
- Receive and process flower shipments
- Merchandise floral displays, plants, and gift items
- Maintain daily housekeeping and a clean, organized, welcoming shop
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking supplies
- Support opening and closing procedures
Who We're Looking For
- Prior floral design experience in a retail shop, event, or studio setting preferred
- A great eye for color, texture, and composition
- Warm, professional customer service skills
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting flower buckets, boxes, and supplies
- Available to work a flexible, on-call schedule based on daily order volume, and able to come in on short notice when needed
- Available to work weekends and holidays as business needs require
