About the Position
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Master Plumber to join our team in Gilroy, CA. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, excellent customer service, safety, and getting the job done right the first time.
This position requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot plumbing issues, communicate professionally with customers and team members, and respond to emergency plumbing needs when scheduled.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential and/or commercial plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose plumbing problems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Install, repair, and maintain water, gas, drainage, sewer, and plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret plumbing plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Complete plumbing work in accordance with applicable plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Identify leaks, blockages, pressure issues, and other plumbing concerns.
- Use plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding work performed and recommended repairs.
- Complete service documentation, work orders, and other required paperwork accurately.
- Work independently while also supporting other team members when needed.
- Respond to emergency service calls during assigned on-call rotation.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Proven professional plumbing experience.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Must have your own professional plumbing tools.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various environments.
- Ability to pass any required background, driving, or employment screening.
Schedule & On-Call Requirements
This position requires flexibility and participation in our service rotation:
- Must be available to work at least one Saturday per month.
- Must be available for one week of emergency/on-call coverage per month.
- During your assigned on-call week, you must be reachable and available to respond to emergency plumbing calls as needed.
- Additional hours or emergency work may be required depending on business needs.
