Position Overview:
Shenango Valley Machine, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience programming with Fusion 360 and / or Mastercam, and a deep understanding of both CNC milling and turning operations. Experience with Mazatrol programming is a plus. This position requires hands-on involvement in both programming and machine operation.

Key Responsibilities:
· Program CNC mills and lathes using Fusion 360 and / or Mastercam
· Setup, operate, and inspect parts on CNC machines (mills and lathes)
· Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and models
· Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and workholding
· Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments
· Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues
· Maintain organized files and records of programs and setups
· Work closely with machinists, engineers, and management to meet production goals and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· 3–4 years of experience in CNC programming and machining
· Proficient with Fusion 360 and Mastercam
· Strong understanding of G-code and CNC control systems
· Hands-on experience with both CNC mills and CNC lathes
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models
· Experience with Mazatrol programming (preferred but not required)
· Knowledge of speeds, feeds, tooling, and cutting strategies
· Ability to perform machine setups and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
· Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Attributes:
· Experience in a job shop or high-mix, low-volume machining environment
· Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality standards
· Willingness to cross-train and assist in other shop functions as needed
· Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
