Full Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper and Office Assistant to support the Stepping Stone Landscaping administrative team! This is an exciting opportunity to combine financial responsibilities with customer-facing support. The primary responsibility is staying current with bookkeeping through Quickbooks Online as well as other financial administrative tasks such as reviewing timesheets, processing payroll, and client invoicing. This role will also provide support to our full-time Office Assistant by helping with a variety of tasks including data entry and client communication via phone and email. This role has potential to become hybrid, however in-person work will be required until there is proficiency in work responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

Bookkeeping in Quickbooks Online to include categorizing transactions and monthly reconciliation
Reviewing timesheets in Service Autopilot
Processing weekly payroll in Dominion Payroll / iSolved
Client invoicing through Service Autopilot
Communication with both employees and clients
Answering invoice questions from clients as they arise
Providing support to our full-time Office Assistant whether it be with administrative tasks or monitoring the company phone calls and emails with friendliness and professionalism
Performing data entry within various internal systems such as Service Autopilot, Dominion Payroll, Quickbooks Online, Google Suite

Self-motivated and can stay on track
Strong communication skills to be able to provide to support to team members and clients
Strong technology skills to be able to quickly learn our computer systems

Qualifications:

Experience using Quickbooks Online for day-to-day bookkeeping
Strong computer and technical skills – experience using HR / Payroll software, Google Suite and Service Autopilot preferred, or ability to learn and become proficient quickly
Very detail oriented to ensure we have correct data in our computer systems
Excellent organizational skills
Self-motivated and can work proactively and within a deadline (such as weekly payroll deadlines, month-end bookkeeping)
Enthusiastic and friendly demeanor
Reliable and trustworthy; can handle confidential information
Excellent customer service and communication skills
