Full Job Description

We are hiring a processor who wants to end up running operations. You will start in the files, processing, submitting, clearing conditions, closing on time. As our volume grows, so does your scope, title, and pay.

Why this role is different

You are the operations function, not a file clerk in a 40-person processing pod. What you build becomes how this company runs.
Direct line to ownership. You will have real input on systems, workflow, lender relationships, and who we hire next.
Your efficiency pays you directly. The bonus is tied to funded volume and pipeline performance, so every process improvement you make shows up in your own compensation.

What you will do first (processing)

Manage a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, jumbo, non-QM, bank statement, and DSCR/investor files from submission through funding
Structure and submit files to wholesale lenders; own the AUS findings (DU/LPA) and the condition list
Order and track appraisals, title, VOEs, insurance, payoffs, subordinations, and HOA documentation
Clear conditions proactively — chase them before the lender has to ask twice
Keep borrowers, agents, and loan officers genuinely informed. No black-box files.
Hit closing dates. Purchase business does not wait, and neither do the agents who refer it.

What you will grow into (operations leadership)

Own the process itself — build the SOPs, checklists, templates, and disclosure workflows the whole team runs on
Hire, train, and manage additional processors and loan officer assistants as we scale
Own wholesale lender relationships and account executive escalations
Manage compliance, file audits, and pre- and post-close quality control
Report pipeline metrics to ownership: turn times, pull-through, fallout, and cycle time by stage
Select and implement the tech stack — LOS, POS, CRM automation, and the integrations between them

Who we are looking for

2+ years processing residential mortgage files. Brokerage or wholesale experience strongly preferred.
Fluent in agency and government products, and comfortable (or quick to get comfortable) with non-QM, bank statement, and DSCR
Knows their way around wholesale lender portals and can read AUS findings without help
Organized to the point that it is a personality trait. You track everything and you drop nothing.
A direct communicator. You will tell a loan officer their file is a mess — and then help fix it.
Wants to manage people and process eventually, not just files forever. This is the single most important thing on this list.
Reliably in the office in Scottsdale. This role runs on fast, in-person coordination.

Nice to have

Experience building or documenting a process from scratch rather than inheriting one
Prior team lead or management experience, in mortgage or otherwise

Compensation and benefits

$48,000 base salary, increasing as responsibilities and title expand
Performance bonus tied to funded files and pipeline efficiency — uncapped. Total compensation of $110,000+ is realistic for a strong performer.
