Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and modalities, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to provide exceptional care to our clients. This role involves assessing patient needs, delivering tailored treatments, and ensuring a relaxing and therapeutic experience for all clients.

Duties

Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine individual needs.
Utilize knowledge of physiology and medical terminology to effectively communicate with clients regarding their treatment plans.
Perform various types of massage therapies, including deep tissue massage and acute pain management techniques.
Implement trigger point therapy as needed to alleviate muscle tension and discomfort.
Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing client concerns promptly.
Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and client progress.
Collaborate with other health professionals in a med spa setting to enhance overall patient care.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the treatment area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Experience in performing physical examinations and patient assessments.
Proficiency in various massage techniques, particularly deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Previous experience in a med spa or similar setting is preferred but not required.
