Alta Vista Boarding, Daycare & Grooming is looking for an exceptional Kennel Attendant/CSR to join our team. This is much more than playing with puppies. It's a physically active, fast-paced role where every day you make a difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them.

Schedule
This position is approximately 21.5 hours per week, with the following regular schedule:
- Monday: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Tuesday: 5:30 AM – 10:00 AM
- Wednesday: 5:30 AM – 9:00 AM
- Thursday: 5:30 AM – 9:00 AM
- Friday: 5:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Flexibility is important. Additional hours may occasionally be available or needed to help cover team member call-outs, vacations, or other staffing needs.
What You'll Do
This is a blended position. Every team member rotates between hands-on pet care and front office responsibilities because we believe the best team members understand every aspect of our boarding, daycare, and grooming services.
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing compassionate, attentive care for dogs and cats.
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, play yards, and common areas.
- Ensuring every pet has fresh water, clean bedding, and a safe, sanitary environment.
- Supervising daycare and boarding playgroups while recognizing individual personalities and behaviors.
- Feeding pets, administering medications as directed, and monitoring for changes in health or behavior.
- Walking dogs, providing enrichment, and making every pet feel safe and loved.
- Completing laundry, dishes, and daily cleaning tasks.
- Leaving each shift set up for the next team by keeping work areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Greeting clients with warmth and professionalism.
- Sharing updates about each pet's stay—our clients love hearing about their pet's adventures, playtime, and personality.
- Answering phones, scheduling boarding, daycare, and grooming reservations, maintaining boarding logs, processing charges, and assisting with check-in and check-out.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Frequently bend, squat, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes.
