Job Description:
IDN is seeking an entrepreneurial, high-growth Divisional Sales Manager to build, scale, and lead our new Door Service Division from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for an operational leader who thrives on building systems, driving sales, and leading team performance.
As the key manager of this business unit, you will hold end-to-end accountability for both sales strategy and operational execution. You will design and launch our core service offerings, drive new customer acquisitions, build estimates and dispatch frameworks, hire and coach field personnel, and maintain high customer satisfaction standards through consistency & quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Creation & Program Development
- Design, build, and launch a full-service business unit, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and service offerings.
- Define pricing structures, service-level agreements (SLAs), and preventative maintenance/reoccurring service packages.
- Implement service management tools, dispatch tools, and operational tracking frameworks to maximize billable efficiency.
Business Development & Account Management
- Drive top-line revenue growth by identifying, pitching, and securing new recurring service accounts.
- Serve as the primary account manger for high-value clients, ensuring retention and identifying expansion opportunities.
Operating, Scheduling & Dispatch
- Receive, process, and correspond with project take-offs, quotes/estimates, and order requests.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless dispatching and material management for service calls
- Oversee job execution from initial inquiry to final invoicing, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to spec.
- Monitor billable technician utilization and adjust schedules dynamically to meet demand.
People Management, Hiring & Leadership
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor a service team with the expectation to grow the department.
- Establish performance KPIs, conduct interviews, and foster a culture of quality, safety, and accountability.
Customer Satisfaction & Quality Control
- Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns, resolving issues promptly to enforce brand reputability
- Implement post-service quality assurance checks and customer feedback loops to track CSAT scores.
- Ensure full compliance with company safety standards, local regulations, and industry certification requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in field service, operations, or technical trade management, with proven experience building or significantly expanding a service arm.
- Proven experience with manufacturing, fabrication, installation, & distribution of doors and door hardware.
- Direct experience hiring, training, and managing estimators, field technicians, and operational staff.
- Strong proficiency with computer enterprise software, CRM platforms, Microsoft suite, and scheduling/dispatch systems
- Expert-level ability to quote, read take-offs, estimate, and input accurate purchase orders based on customer specifications, specifically in the Security Hardware industry.
- Highly adaptable self-starter who enjoys designing processes from scratch.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally to key commercial clients and internal partners.
- Sufficient experience working with overhead and/or pedestrian doors.
