Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in operating various CNC machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprint reading, and precision measurement to ensure high-quality production standards. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, programming, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce components that meet strict specifications while adhering to safety protocols and manufacturing best practices.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC machines such as milling machines, lathes, and other industrial equipment to produce precision parts.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents accurately to ensure proper machining processes.
Program CNC machinery using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and understand G-code or Fanuc controls for machine operation.
Conduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Troubleshoot mechanical issues on CNC equipment and perform basic maintenance or escalate repairs as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with safety standards in production facilities.
Handle materials safely using appropriate tools such as forklifts and manage tooling setups for various fabrication processes including stamping presses and press brake machines.
Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, materials handling, and packaging to optimize workflow efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related industrial equipment.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CAM programming, and interpreting technical drawings.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, shop math, GD&T principles, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality control purposes.
Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance skills.
Experience with fabrication processes including welding, stamping presses, flexo presses, and tooling setups is advantageous.
Hands-on experience with factory or manufacturing facility environments along with warehouse operations is preferred.
Ability to operate hand tools effectively while maintaining safety standards in production settings.
Solid understanding of manufacturing principles including materials handling, packaging procedures, and assembly line processes.
