JobSummary

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for facilitating and leading continuous improvement initiatives at the GFO site that drive measurable cost savings across labor, materials, yield, and other operationalareas.Thisrolepartnerscloselywithinternalstakeholdersandprocessownerstoidentifyimprovementopportunities,developprojectplans,andimplementsolutionsthatenhancesafety,quality,delivery,andcostperformance.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will support the site's strategic objective of expanding the BD Production System (BD Excellence) across remaining value streams. The primary focus of thispositionistoidentify,lead,andsupportcontinuousimprovementprojects,addressrootcausesofoperationalchallenges,eliminatewaste,andhelpachieveannualplantperformancegoals.

KeyResponsibilities

Leadandexecutecontinuousimprovementprojectsfocusedonimprovingproductionflow,reducingwaste,andincreasingoperationalefficiency.
Facilitaterapidimprovementevents(Kaizen)byengagingcross-functionalteamsandmanufacturingassociates.
ConductauditsofdailystartupTiermeetingsandGembaWalkstoensureadherencetooperationalexcellencestandards.
Leadmediumtolarge-scalecapitalimprovementprojects.
Facilitateorco-facilitateBDExcellencereviewmeetings.
Identify,develop,andimplementstandardizedprocessesthroughoutthefacility.
Analyzeprocessesanddatatoidentifyopportunitiesforcostreductionandperformanceimprovement.
Collaboratewithoperations,quality,engineering,andotherfunctionalteamstodrivesustainableimprovements.
Performadditionaldutiesandspecialprojectsasassigned.

MinimumQualifications

Education&Experience

Applicantsmustmeetoneofthefollowingrequirements:

Bachelor'sdegreeinEngineeringoranothertechnicalfieldofstudy;OR
Minimumoffive(5)yearsofengineeringexperienceinamanufacturingenvironment.

RequiredKnowledge,Skills&Abilities

Experienceleadingcontinuousimprovementinitiativesandimplementingcost-savingimprovementsinamanufacturingenvironment.
Experienceinoneormoreofthefollowingareas:

PreferredQualifications
