Full Job Description

Position: Accounting Manager

Reports To: Executive Vice President

Direct Reports: Accounting Assistant

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, comparable 10+ years work experience in a similar position, internal and external financial statement preparation and review, treasury and asset management, budgetary process, good interpersonal skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point, Excel and Microsoft products including working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a plus. Franchise experience a plus.

Scope: Oversee the accounting department, generation of all financial statements and reports, provide custodial responsibility over assets and financial consultation.

Duties:

Primary:

1. Coordinate and assist in the management of the accounting department

2. General ledger account maintenance

3. Provide professional accounting guidance and financial analysis as needed

4. Working knowledge of report writer software and editing / generation of reports

5. Timely and accurate generation of period and annual financial statements

6. Preparation and generation of annual external audit of franchised companies

7. Custodial responsibility over all assets and related cost containment strategies

a) daily treasury management;

b) oversee credit management function;

c) initiate or assist in other as needed

8. Contract / purchase and sale agreement review

9. Provide necessary FDD and franchise agreement disclosure information

10. Budget generation and ongoing review

11. Evaluate and maintain banking / other professional relationships

Secondary:

1. Analyze accounting software for propriety and functionality

2. Establish contacts for alternative sources of financing for company growth

3. Provide franchise stores with accounting training & guidance (existing & new franchisees)

4. Ensure compliance on all financial matters included in the franchise agreement

Physical Requirements: Very minimal physical exertion required. Required to sit for extended periods of time. Fine manipulation and close and distance vision required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
