Full Job Description

The Café Cashier must embrace the company culture, values, and leadership principles of being: Patient, Kind, Trusting, Unselfish, Truthful, Forgiving and Dedicated.

Position Description:

Responsible Food and Beverage operations.

Responsibilities:

Assisting guests with product purchases within the Sopris or Sandbar Cafe.

Provide food information to Guests to assist them with their meal decisions.

Will serve guest alcoholic beverage orders, must be 18 years old to complete this task and will be under adult supervision.

Online order delivery to pools.

Ensure proper payment has been received.

Ability to take drink/food orders in a friendly manner.

Cleaning equipment and other kitchen cleaning duties.

Closing duties include picking up towels and garbage by pools at the end of the night, and assisting with pool covers.

Operation of variety of kitchen equipment including, blenders, kegerators, jet streams, daiquiri machines, and ovens

Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers

Clean and sanitize work areas, guest eating areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware, as well as sweep, scrub or mop the floor and clean windows as needed

Properly label and store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage

Deliver customer online orders to pools.

Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by your Supervisor/Manager.

Administration:

Check out register bag. Close out register after each shift and return close out slip in cash bag.

Completes all applicable department paperwork accurately and thoroughly.

Financial:

Strong math and communication skills required.

Operations:

Have a keen eye for property presentation.

Complete required daily, monthly and annual inspections.

Respond to guest inquiries and guest feedback in a professional manner.

Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager.

Project and Planning:

Complete alcohol and food services certificates.

Communication:

Clear communication with other Food and Beverage Teammates.

Inform leads/managers when equipment is not working properly, and when food and supplies are getting low, requisition needed supplies

Safety:

Enforces and adheres to all property, location, and safety policies and procedures

Knows, follows, and enforces all department safety standards

Practice proper sanitation techniques including wearing mandated sanitation items such as gloves and hairnets

Protect company assets: money, merchandise, equipment. Maintain accurate records and loss prevention techniques by reporting any shoplifting or any other activities that may be detrimental to the property

Ensure compliance with all Iron Mountain Hot Springs policies and procedures

Requirements:

Possess and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Available to work weekends and holidays.

Represent the company with a positive and professional image.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Able to interpret both written & verbal instructions.

Ability to wear appropriate job-specific personal protective equipment (PPE).

Available to work evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays

Must have reliable transportation.

Qualification:

Complete and submit Cashier Training checklist proving knowledge of IMHS and cash register operations.

Outstanding customer service.

Listen to and follow direction accurately.

Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by your direct report.

Previous computer, US currency exchanging and up selling preferred but not necessary.

Strong math and communication skills required.

Interact with guests and provide any needed detailed information.

Very knowledgeable of all products of IMHS to assist guests.

Ability to multi task in a fast paced work environment.

Maintain the cleanliness of work area.

Effectively answer any guest questions related to IMHS operations, or know who to ask, MOD.

Knife skills

CPR/AED Certified preferred

Food prep experience preferred

Server experience preferred

Must be patient, poised and able to cope with special situations.

Courtesy, alertness, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly are necessary.

Compensation:

This position pays $18.25/hour to $19.25/hour including supplemental tip average
Starting wage is $15.25/hour
Tip sharing across property averages to $3.00/hour to $4.00/hour
