Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Office Manager to lead our front desk operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily front desk activities, manage guest relations, and ensure smooth hotel operations. Your leadership will set the tone for a welcoming environment, uphold high standards of customer service, and coordinate with various departments to maintain operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have proven management experience, strong bookkeeping skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. An accounting background is strongly preferred. We are looking for a highly organized hospitality professional who is comfortable overseeing both guest-facing operations and financial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead front desk staff to ensure efficient check-in/check-out procedures and uphold excellent customer service standards.
Manage reservations using property management systems (PMS) such as OPERA or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism, sound judgment, and a friendly attitude.
Oversee night audit procedures, reconcile daily financial transactions, and prepare accurate reports for management review.
Perform and oversee bookkeeping duties, including maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing transactions, and assisting with daily financial reconciliation.
Apply accounting principles to monitor front office revenue, payments, deposits, and discrepancies.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to address guest needs promptly and maintain property standards.
Enforce hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety.
Maintain professional phone etiquette while managing incoming calls, providing information, taking reservations, and directing inquiries appropriately.
Support multilingual or bilingual communication efforts to effectively serve diverse guests.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members on reservation systems, customer service standards, hotel policies, and operational procedures.
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to front office staff.
Monitor daily operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and financial accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must have proven management or supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, hospitality, accounting, or customer-service environment.
Must have bookkeeping experience and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Accounting experience or an accounting background is strongly preferred.
Proven experience in hotel front desk operations or hospitality management.
Strong knowledge of property management systems such as OPERA or similar platforms.
Experience with night audit, financial reconciliation, and daily hotel reporting.
Exceptional customer service and guest-relations skills.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle cash, payments, financial records, and discrepancies accurately.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable.
Strong phone communication and professional client-interaction skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Previous hotel or resort experience preferred.
