Estate & Guest Experience Manager — Luxury Short-Term Rental (North Shore, MA)

Location: North Shore, MA, approx. 45 minutes from Boston

Reports to: Home owners

Compensation: $60,000–$100,000/year commensurate with experience, plus potential bonus based on reaching revenue goals

Type: Full-time · Weekend and holiday availability required

About the Estate

We are a premium 13-bedroom, 9 bathroom luxury retreat on the north shore of Massachusetts, sleeping up to 30 guests just a block from the beach. The property features a pool, a year-round hot tub, two private exercise/yoga rooms, a game room, and a full suite of concierge experiences — from private chefs and in-house massage to curated on-site activities.

We host corporate retreats, milestone family gatherings, bridal parties, and group getaways, and our guests return year after year because of how the estate makes them feel. We pride ourselves on being genuinely high-touch: every stay should feel effortless, personal, and a cut above anything else our guests have experienced.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Estate & Guest Experience Manager to own the day-to-day operation and guest experience of the estate. You'll be the person who makes a flawless stay look easy — anticipating needs, orchestrating a trusted team of vendors, and turning ordinary requests into memorable moments. This is equal parts operations leadership and hospitality artistry, ideal for someone who takes pride in five-star service and sweats the details.

What You'll Do

Guest experience & concierge

Serve as the primary point of contact for guests before, during, and after their stay, delivering warm, responsive, premium-level communication
Tailor each stay to the group — corporate retreat, family reunion, or bridal party — and proactively anticipate needs
Coordinate personalized touches and add-on services, including private chefs, on-site massage therapists, yoga/meditation sessions, and other bespoke experiences guests request
Resolve issues calmly and quickly, ensuring every guest leaves wanting to return

Operations & property management

Manage and schedule the cleaning crew, handyman, and pool/hot tub maintenance technician to keep the estate in immaculate, guest-ready condition
Oversee turnovers between back-to-back bookings, maintaining premium standards under tight timelines
Coordinate with additional vendors, contractors, and repair professionals as needed, and conduct regular property walkthroughs and preventative maintenance
Manage inventory, supplies, and amenity restocking

Bookings & channel management

Manage and optimize listings across Airbnb, VRBO, and our direct booking site, keeping calendars, pricing, and availability accurate and synced
Respond to inquiries, manage the reservation pipeline, and handle guest screening and booking logistics
Manage the financials of bookings, including processing payments, deposits, and refunds, tracking revenue and expenses, reconciling platform payouts, and providing regular financial reporting to ownership
Track reviews and guest feedback, and continually raise the bar on the guest experience

What We're Looking For

3+ years in short-term rental operations, luxury hospitality, estate management, boutique hotel, or high-end guest services
A natural host with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine instinct for anticipatory, white-glove service
Proven ability to manage and coordinate vendors, contractors, and service staff
Hands-on experience with short-term rental platforms (Airbnb, VRBO) and channel/booking management. Must showcase other well-reviewed listings that are currently in the portfolio..
Proficiency with modern short-term rental management software and tools — such as Guesty, Hostaway, Lodgify, OwnerRez, or similar property management systems, channel managers, and dynamic pricing tools
Comfort managing booking finances — payments, deposits, refunds, revenue/expense tracking, and reporting
High level understanding of property maintenance. Able to troubleshoot issues quickly and coordinate the necessary vendors to fix problems.
Highly organized, calm under pressure, and able to juggle multiple bookings and moving parts at once
Comfortable with the flexible schedule of a high-occupancy rental, including weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours guest needs
Familiarity with Massachusetts and local short-term rental registration and compliance is a strong plus
Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to and be on-site at the estate as needed (this is a non-residential, on-site role reporting to the ownership team)
