Full Job Description

BCA, part of the Mpac Group located in beautiful Newburyport Massachusetts. Boston Conveyor and Automation (BCA) has brought together a very experienced and successful team to focus on the automation process in the food manufacturing, life science and general manufacturing industries.

This is role responsible for start to finish project management from system conceptualization and proposal development through project planning, execution, and implementation of Automation and Material Handling equipment projects. BCA is seeking talented FULL TIME Project Managers to join our team. This position is responsible for developing project schedules, planning, executing, and finalizing Automation and Material Handling equipment projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

The person in this role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day progress of several projects simultaneously. Projects can range in value from $100,000 to over $10,000,000 and can take between 6 weeks and 9 months to complete.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Primary point of contact for the Customer.
Manage project execution from start to finish in accordance with contract requirements and project management procedures
Responsible for project administration, data entry, schedule development, change order proposals as well as 3rd party equipment buyout, coordination, and updates.
Generate and communicate project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Responsible for project cost management and risk management.
Coordinate with BCA Project Engineers, Functional Managers and Senior Management to assure the project has all necessary resources.
Responsible for the organization and maintenance of project documentation in the project management system including, but not limited to drawings, customer communications, change orders/logs, budget updates, and meeting minutes.
Responsible for assuring project invoices are issued, budget is updated, and payments are received.
Support, facilitate and communicate customer FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) requirements.
Coordinate in-house project close-out, to include punch list management and any required documentation.
Coordinate on-site project close-out, to include punch list management, obtaining required documentation.
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Bachelors degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience. Candidates with construction project management experience are encouraged to apply.
Minimum of 4 years direct work experience in a customer facing project management capacity.
Working knowledge MS Office and MS Project
Strong understanding of safety standards
