About the Job

Icarus is seeking a Clinical Educator to serve as a vital link between our products and the clinical community. Trained and certified to properly fit Icarus devices the Clinical Educator serves as the clinical connection between our products, internal departments, customers, and end-users.You will act as an on-call expert for our sales, customer service, and marketing teams, leveraging your deep anatomical and clinical knowledge to drive success and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Clinician Education
Develop and administer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for clinicians and partners
Maintain professional accreditation and technical competency
Conduct in-person and remote clinical in-services
Help reduce patient rejection through educating patients and clinicians, advising on brace suitability, and conducting trials to support clinical application of our orthotic products and fitting techniques
Educate patients and medical staff on proper equipment use virtually and in person
Build and maintain relationships with existing accounts and key influencers.
Work as a trusted advisor to clinical specialists, nurses, educators, and administrators
Serve as a primary subject matter expert for internal sales, marketing, customer service teams and engineering teams
Conduct introductory sales calls and support account advancement
Build strong relationships and support business development
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and deliver content about Icarus products and services, including marketing content, educational videos, live webinars, onsite clinical seminars, regional trainings, and technical presentations and workshops at professional association meetings
Work with customer service to understand and resolve issues
Lead anatomy and device onboarding training for new sales representatives at company headquarters
Advise product development and management teams as the voice of the customer
Provide clinical perspective during design and prototype development
Gather field observations and support feedback form development and analysis

Qualifications

Current certification required: Certified Orthotist (CO), CPO, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), or Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) with orthopedic clinic experience
Strong background in facilitating deep clinical conversations regarding human anatomy and product application
Comfort with clinical customers, consultative selling, and patient/staff education.
Experience in commercial or medical director roles preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to present confidently to groups.
Excellent time management and independent follow-through.
Ability to keep work records via CRM.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Base Salary:
$65,000-$110,000 depending on qualifications and experience
Incentive Structure: 20% bonus possible based on KPIs, including in-service delivery and multi-day onsite training events.

Location & Travel

Location: Remote with up 75% domestic travel within assigned region and to Icarus Headquarters in Charlottesville, Virginia
