Full Job Description

Combined Properties is a full-service investment and real estate development firm specializing in commercial and multi-family residential properties. We hire and retain creative, experienced staff, invest in and develop quality assets, contract with premier vendors, cultivate long-lasting and responsive customer relationships, and invest wholly in the communities in which we work and call home.

As a member of the accounting team, the Staff Bookkeeper will provide support in the accounting life cycle in several key areas relating to commercial and residential real estate properties including cash management, month-end and year-end closings, and general ledger journal entries.

· Track and record daily cash activity and resolve discrepancies.

· Reconcile and manage all deposits such as security deposit accounts, rent, wait list accounts, and manual deposits.

· Manage and process water and utility bills.

· Post and review lease renewals, move ins, and roommate changes.

· Keep property management software current with vendor updates, miscellaneous improvements and Board of Health updates.

· Keep vacant unit and national grid account numbers current.

· Prepare financial and operation reports and cash position statements as requested.

· Enter, scan, copy, and file account payable invoices.

· Assist with purchase orders and ordering supplies.

· Assist with year-end books, miscellaneous projects, and journal entries as needed.

Candidates must have 3-5 years of residential property bookkeeping/accounting experience and be computer literate in MS Office. Experience with property management software such as MRI a strong plus. Associate or Bachelor Degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
