Job description:

Senior Accountant

Frasier Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting through the maintenance of the General Ledger and related accounting processes.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, analyzing financial statements, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. The role also includes preparing ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support business decision-making and operational needs.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with at all levels of the organization. A successful candidate will demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a continuous improvement mindset, and a willingness to learn new processes, ask thoughtful questions, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the accounting function.

Job responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

- Manage full-cycle month-end close for multiple companies/entities, consistently meeting strict reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, research discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, maintaining accurate balances across multiple legal entities.

- Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns in compliance with state regulations and filing deadlines.

- Support quarterly and annual financial audits by preparing schedules, reconciling accounts, and responding to auditor requests.

- Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Perform variance analysis and investigate where necessary

- Maintain compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements across multiple business entities.

Job Requirements

- Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking skills while managing high transaction volumes and multiple concurrent priorities.

- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Solid work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude.

- Proactively seeks knowledge and new responsibilities.

Education/Certification

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred. Candidates pursuing their CPA will also be considered.

Experience

- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably, in a multi-entity environment

- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of applications (including Excel and Word)

- Working knowledge of accounting software
