Base Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 / year (DOE) or
$26.00 – $36.00 / hour
Annual Bonus: Set $3,000 annual performance bonus

micro-processing operation in Gooding, Idaho. We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Dairy Processing & Operations
Manager to oversee our daily milk processing, bottling, sanitation, and quality assurance systems.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for the direct management of our on-farm processing facility. This role handles raw
milk intake, High-Temperature Short-Time (HTST) pasteurization, product bottling, and Clean-In-Place (CIP) sanitation
systems while maintaining compliance with state dairy standards. You will lead a small crew, manage plant inventory, and
ensure top-tier food safety and product yield.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HTST Processing & Production: Oversee raw milk receiving, run the HTST pasteurization system, monitor temperature/
timing controls and flow diversion valves (FDV), and manage homogenization, bottling, and product line flow.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Enforce HACCP, SSOPs, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Manage Idaho
State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) inspections, sampling, and chart recording.
Sanitation & CIP Systems: Lead daily Clean-In-Place (CIP) wash cycles, perform chemical titration tests (caustic/acid),
and handle manual equipment wash-downs.
Inventory & Team Leadership: Supervise 2–6 processing assistants, coordinate batch schedules with farm milk yields,
and manage processing supplies (bottles, caps, labels, sanitation chemicals).
Preventive Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on stainless steel piping, pumps, plate heat exchangers, and cold
room refrigeration units.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in fluid dairy processing, bottling, or HTST pasteurization.
Certifications: Ability to hold or obtain an ISDA State Dairy Sampler/Tester License and HACCP Certification within 90
days of hire.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Grade A dairy regulations, CIP chemical safety, and flow diversion
systems.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts on concrete floors, and work comfortably in damp or cold environments (38°F).
