Job description:

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient full time employee to work 3 days as a Line Cook and 2 days as a Dishwasher each week to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in prepping food and cooking with our kitchen team and on his dishwashing days maintain the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.

Our ideal candidate likes to collaborate with their fellow team members, has a strong sense of urgency, and enjoys the challenge that comes with cooking in a high volume environment. A positive attitude is definitely a plus!

**Must be available for closing and weekend shifts.**

We strive to keep the atmosphere fun and relaxed; a sense of comradery pervades the space. We're accepting of cooks of all skill levels and we're always willing to train the right candidate!

Cook responsibilities

Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
Collaborate with the Kitchen Manger and cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours.
Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts.
Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift.

Dish Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, kitchen equipment, using appropriate cleaning methods.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.

Skills

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.

5 hour shift
8 hour shift
Evening shift
