Responsibilities

Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures
Perform Expanded Functions duties according to Indiana regulations
Take high-quality digital X-rays
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
Maintain accurate patient records
Educate patients before and after treatment
Help keep the clinical schedule running efficiently
Deliver an exceptional patient experience
Work closely with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front office team members

Qualifications

Required:

Indiana Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
Current Dental X-ray Certification
Strong knowledge of dental terminology
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, professional, and committed to being a positive team member

Preferred

Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification
Experience with Open Dental practice management software

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Must be available to work until 5:45 PM at least two days each week
Must be available to work 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at least two Fridays each month
