Full Job Description

Are you a passionate culinary professional with experience in high-volume kitchens? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional food and creating memorable dining experiences? We're looking for a Banquet Cook or Sous Chef to join our talented team!

Position: Banquet Cook / Sous Chef
Location: The Garrison
Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, preparing, and executing banquet menus for large events and special occasions.
Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Manage inventory and help maintain stock levels for banquet operations.
Work closely with the Executive Chef to create innovative menus that delight our guests.
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Make sure cooks check out for lunch breaks and at the end of shift. Breaks should be given at appropriate times.
Delegate tasks to cooks and dishwashers in an appropriate manner so work is done efficiently and without duplication.
Ensure all sanitation and cleaning practices are adhered to.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Banquet Cook, Sous Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and inspire others.
Exceptional knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
The ability to stay organized and maintain a calm, focused demeanor under pressure.
A creative and flexible approach to menu planning and food execution.
Passion for great food and a commitment to providing an unforgettable guest experience.
