Full Job Description

McChesney Martin Sagehorn, P.C. as a regional public accounting firm. We provide professional accounting, tax, and consulting services in Western Nebraska, with offices in North Platte, Ogallala, Imperial and Lexington. We have opportunities for employment in all of our offices. We also offer remote employment opportunities for the right candidate.

Bookkeepers work directly under the supervision of the in-charge accountants and account managers.

Duties and responsibilities include:

· Perform accounting services for clients.

· Perform payroll services for clients.

· Be proficient in firm technology, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel; QuickBooks; and firm accounting software.

· Obtain a working knowledge of firm technology, including time and billing software.

· Prepare accounting and tax workpapers, including trial balances, depreciation schedules, and debt amortization schedules

Qualifications:

· Two years’ experience in bookkeeping and payroll

· Working knowledge of QuickBooks

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

· Ability to organize work and prioritize and meet deadlines.
