Job Summary:
7th/8th Grade Science Teacher
Position Overview: Grace Christian Academy (GCA) is seeking a Christ-centered and passionate 7th/8th Grade Science Teacher to join our middle school faculty. As a ministerial position of spiritual and academic leadership, the Science Teacher will lead students in exploring God’s creation through engaging, biblically integrated life, earth, and physical science instruction. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a scientific inquiry mindset while modeling Christian character and supporting the spiritual, academic, and emotional development of every student.
Key Focus Areas:
- Biblical Integration: Integrate scientific principles with a Biblical worldview, helping students recognize God's design in the natural world.
- Classroom Instruction: Plan and execute engaging science lessons, hands-on lab experiments, and collaborative activities suitable for middle school learners.

7th/8th Grade Math Teacher
Position Overview: Grace Christian Academy (GCA) is seeking a dedicated 7th/8th Grade Math Teacher to deliver rigorous, Christ-centered mathematics instruction in a supportive middle school environment. Serving in a Holy Spirit-led leadership role, the Math Teacher will guide students through fundamental middle school math concepts, Pre-Algebra, and foundational problem-solving skills while highlighting the order and truth of God reflected in mathematics. The candidate will strive for academic excellence and partner closely with parents and faculty to foster each student's spiritual and intellectual growth.

7th/8th Grade ELA (English Language Arts) Teacher
Position Overview: Grace Christian Academy (GCA) is seeking an inspiring 7th/8th Grade ELA Teacher to foster a love for reading, writing, and effective communication through a Biblical lens. As a spiritual and academic leader, the ELA Teacher will guide middle school students through literature analysis, grammar, composition, and critical thinking. The successful candidate will model Christ-like character, encourage thoughtful discussion of literary themes, and equip students to express their faith and ideas clearly and persuasively.
Key Focus Areas:
- Biblical Integration: Guide students to analyze literature, media, and language through the lens of Scripture and Christian values.
- Curriculum & Literacy: Deliver high-quality instruction in reading comprehension, writing mechanics, literary analysis, and vocabulary development.
- Discipline & Discipleship: Build strong relationships with students and parents through proactive communication, regular prayer, and purposeful mentorship.
Qualifications:
- A mature Christian who meets the biblical qualifications for leadership.
- Agrees wholeheartedly with GCA’s Statement of Faith (available on our website).
- Minimum of a college degree
- Endorse and support the constitution and by-laws of The Lambs Chapel Church.
- Be an active member at a local church that is in alignment with The Lamb's Chapel’s Statement of Faith.
- Apply for the highest level of ACSI Certificate within 15 days of signing your agreement. ACSI certification or equivalent for accreditation requirements must be maintained while employed. A Standard ACSI Teaching Certificate must be obtained by the end of fourth year of teaching at GCA.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Have the utmost focus on Biblical integration/Christ-centered instruction in all areas of teaching.
- Be committed to regular prayer with your students and for your students and families.
- Teach Biblically integrated curriculum/subjects and on-campus classes as assigned using curriculum, supplementary materials, field trips, special guests, etc. to enhance them.
- Maintain proper classroom discipline, taking care of minor problems personally and referring major problems to the administration.
- Take all necessary and permitted safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required
- Administer and supervise test administrations in accordance with all applicable Code of Ethics, Testing Code of Ethics,, and/or national standards and regulations
- Understand, appreciate, love, and serve the pupils entrusted to you for instruction, and will, to the best of your ability, provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, academic, physical, and emotional development.
- Be available to any parents or students who wish to have a conference before or after school
- Fully commit to excellent communications with parents and students, faculty, and administration to maintain the GCA standard of excellence in all areas of performance, and to promote GCA in a positive light at all times to all GCA constituents (parents, students, faculty and community)
- Meet technology standards necessary for the effectiveness in specific department, classroom and within the greater GCA community, and to fully support and commitment to excellence in educational technology and effective communication avenues
- Comply and abide by all policies, procedures, position statements, regulations and conditions of employment as set forth in all of GCA’s written policies and procedures, including but not limited to those policies and procedures as set forth in GCA’s most recent Employee Handbook, Faculty and Student/Parent Handbooks and Procedural Guidelines.
- Participate in the collaborative work of accreditation.
- Strive to maintain and improve professional competence
- Abide by any additions, changes, or deletions made to school policies, procedures, mandates, etc. at the sole discretion of the Elder Board without prior notice during the agreement year.
Working Conditions:
Physical Demands - Work is considered light physical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force. Substantial amount of time spent standing and/or walking.
Work Environment - Employees in this position are required to work in indoor and outdoor environments, and come into direct contact with Grace Academy staff, students and the public.
