Full Job Description

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records with primary ownership of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, ensuring timely billing, collections, and cash application. This role directly supports daily cash flow operations and provides reliable financial information to ownership and leadership.

Core Responsibilities

Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices
Post customer payments accurately and timely
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
Communicate professionally and confidently with customers regarding payment status
Maintain organized documentation for all AR transactions
Prepare weekly AR aging summaries and cash updates for ownership
Attend weekly AR meetings
Assist with Payroll Processing

Cash & Banking

Record daily deposits and match payments to invoices
Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Monitor cash flow trends related to receivables
Process and reconcile retail and rental revenue
Escalate concerns proactively to leadership

General Bookkeeping

Maintain customer master files and credit terms
Assist with month-end close related to AR
Prepare AR reports for CPA or external accountant as needed
Support internal reporting requests
Assist with monthly/quarterly tax payments and reporting

Qualifications

3+ years bookkeeping experience, with strong AR ownership preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks
Strong Excel skills and Google Workspace proficiency
Experience in a small or family-owned business preferred
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong, professional communication skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
