Responsibilities
- Professionally serve legal documents such as subpoenas, summons, eviction notices, restraining orders, child support papers, lien documents, foreclosure notices, divorce papers, custody orders, writs, injunctions, criminal and civil complaints, petitions, and trust documents.
- Utilize mobile data collection software and mobile devices to accurately record service attempts and successful deliveries in real-time.
- Manage process serving records meticulously through proper documentation and filing proof of service in accordance with legal standards.
- Conduct private investigations when necessary to locate individuals or verify addresses for successful service.
- Maintain professional ethics at all times by respecting confidentiality and adhering to procedural law requirements during all serving activities.
- Use personal vehicles for timely delivery across various locations while ensuring vehicle maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with legal professionals and couriers to coordinate service schedules and resolve any delivery challenges promptly.
Requirements
- Valid license as a Licensed Process Server or equivalent certification required by state law.
- Proven experience in serving legal documents such as subpoenas, notices to quit, eviction notices, wage garnishment documents, petitions, or foreclosure notices preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law related to process serving procedures.
- Excellent report writing skills for documenting service attempts accurately and comprehensively.
- Ability to operate mobile data collection software and mobile devices efficiently.
- Reliable personal vehicle for transportation; valid driver’s license and clean driving record essential.
- Demonstrated professionalism with high ethical standards in all interactions.
- Capable of managing process serving records accurately through record management systems.
- Physical ability to perform fieldwork including walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting documents or packages as needed.
