Willowbrae Academy is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floating Director to support multiple academy locations across our growing Colorado region. Position Overview
The Floating Administrator serves as a key operational and leadership support across multiple campuses. This individual will step in during times of leadership absence, staffing shortages, or new center openings to ensure continuity, quality, and compliance.
You will play a critical role in stabilizing teams, supporting center operations, and helping launch new locations, bringing consistency and leadership wherever it’s needed most.
This role requires regular travel between locations, with a service area ranging from Longmont to Colorado Springs. Candidates may be based anywhere within this region.
Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel beyond your home (closest) academy, which will be considered your starting point.
Key Responsibilities Operational & Leadership Support
- Step into leadership roles as needed to support daily center operations
- Maintain continuity in the absence of a Center Director or leadership team
- Ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and program quality across all sites
- Support centers during licensing visits, audits, staffing shortages, and key operational transitions
Center Openings & Program Support
- Assist in launching new academy locations, including setup, staffing support, and operational readiness
- Help establish strong systems, classroom environments, and team culture from the ground up
- Partner with leadership to ensure successful enrollment ramp-up and family onboarding
Staff Support & Development
- Model best practices in health and safety regulations, classroom management, curriculum implementation, and family engagement
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
Enrollment & Family Engagement
- Conduct tours and support enrollment efforts when needed
- Build positive, professional relationships with families across multiple locations
- Step in to support communication during leadership gaps
Flexibility & Coverage
- Adapt quickly to different teams, environments, and center needs
- Provide classroom support when ratios or staffing needs require it
- Travel between locations as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in a licensed childcare center or similar role (Director, Assistant Director, or similar role) preferred
- Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations, curriculum frameworks, and child development
- Proven ability to support leading teams, manage operations, and adapt quickly in changing environments
- Experience supporting multiple classrooms or centers is highly preferred
- CPR & First Aid Certification (up to date)
- Ability to pass all required background checks
