Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Millwright to join our dynamic welding and maintenance team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and installing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will ensure the successful assembly of structural and mechanical systems, contributing to large-scale projects across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse materials and advanced fabrication techniques in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and safety.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately execute projects.
Perform a variety of welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) following AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes where applicable.
Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
Use rigging techniques for lifting, positioning, and securing heavy components safely on construction sites or within fabrication shops.
Operate machinery such as pipe threading tools, machining equipment, and the press brake machine for precise metal shaping.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols including construction site safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Assist in the installation of ductwork, piping systems, and mechanical assemblies on-site or in shop settings.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and materials used for quality assurance purposes.

Requirements

Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW using welding standards.
Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and metal materials handling.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math skills, and basic math for precise measurements.
Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations including machining processes and assembly techniques.
Familiarity with rigging practices for lifting heavy components safely on construction sites or within fabrication environments.
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to pressure vessels or piping systems is a plus.
Ability to operate power tools such as grinders, drills, soldering equipment, and other hand tools efficiently.
Experience with forklift operation is preferred for material handling purposes.
Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to interpret technical drawings accurately.
