Full Job Description

Do you take pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoy seeing a project come together? Essential Personnel is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented candidate to fill a Laser Operator position. Candidates must have proven experience as a CNC Operator, with laser experience preferred. An ideal candidate should have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, be able to read blueprints, and have a great attendance record.

Requirements for Laser Operator:

Proficient in reading mechanical drawings/blueprints and using precision measuring tools
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and solid shop math
Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
Basic computer skills for program loading and data entry

Responsibilities for Laser Operator:

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines for high-precision production
Load and edit CNC programs and set machines for full cycles
Load sheet metal into bays and safely use a forklift to move materials
Perform first-part and random inspections using calipers, gauges, and tape measures
Perform daily machine maintenance and advanced troubleshooting
Separate and "pick" parts from skeletons, stack, and package finished goods
