Full Job Description

General Summary:

Oversees daily production operations, managing personnel, schedules, and workflows to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are met. Troubleshoot, optimize processes, train staff, and report metrics to upper management, acting as the bridge between strategic goals and floor execution.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Plan and organize production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources and minimizing wase.

· Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, including assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance.

· Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, conducting inspections, and minimizing hazards.

· Monitoring production to ensure products meet quality standards, reducing waste and defects.

· Identifying bottlenecks and implementing lean manufacturing principles for efficiency.

· Addressing machine downtime, material shortages, or staffing issues.

· Train and develop employees to enhance their skills and capabilities, and provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.

· Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Previous aerospace or defense manufacturing experience preferred

· Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Education and Experience:

· High school graduate or GED

· 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, production, or a supervisory role is required

· Understanding of machinery, production processes, and inventory management software

· Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and manufacturing software systems

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8-10 hours daily, overtime/weekend support as needed. Position is set in a manufacturing floor environment; requires standing for long periods, lifting to 50lbs, and wearing PPE.
