About this position:
The Organizational Talent Development (OTD) Facilitation Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs to all LMCU employees across credit union divisions, including individual contributors and all levels of leadership. This role ensures that employees are equipped with the mindsets, skillsets, and toolsets needed to excel in their position as well as prepare for future career aspirations. The specialist uses a variety of training methods, including in-person classroom sessions, virtual training, e-learning, and coaching, while adapting content delivery to meet diverse learning styles. Additionally, this role plays a key role in assessing the effectiveness of training programs, customizing content, and providing ongoing support and coaching to enhance employee development.
What you’ll do:

Delivering Training Programs - Lead training sessions on a range of topics for all LMCU employees. Utilize various training methods, including in-person, live virtual training, e-learning, hands-on learning, and more in order to meet diverse learning needs. Facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences for in-person and virtual attendees.

Classroom Management - Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive and engagement learning environment. This includes setting clear expectations, building rapport with participants and leaders, managing behavioral interventions when needed, create organized classroom routines and procedures, and using conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to address issues and ensure smooth session flow.

Evaluating and Assessing Training Effectiveness - Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate learning outcomes and content retention. This includes gathering informal feedback from participants, administering surveys, in-classroom (in-person and virtual) knowledge checks, and organizing after class observations and follow-up to measure and be able to report out on training effectiveness.

Training Material Preparation and Customization - Prepare and customize training materials, presentations, and handouts for both in-person and virtual sessions. This includes collaborating with other OTD team members and leadership, subject matter experts across the organization, and LMCU leadership to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.

Continuous Improvement and Professional Development - Stay informed about trends and best practices in learning and development, especially within the financial industry. This includes seeking opportunities for personal and professional development to enhance training and facilitation skills and knowledge of the business, participating in training and feedback sessions with the OTD manager, and working with other LMCU development professionals and Subject Matter Experts to ensure training is up to date and consistent throughout the organization.

What you’ll bring:
- A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience in learning and development, specifically with live facilitation experience.

A bachelor's degree in education or organizational development.

ATD certification, any reputable trainer certifications such as Crucial Learning, FranklinCovey, Blanchard, DiSC, etc. preferred.

A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required.

High proficiency of PowerPoint required.

Base knowledge of Workday or other LMS/LXP.

Base knowledge of all Microsoft Suite systems, preferred.
