Full Job Description

UEI Incorporated is looking for a motivated Apprentice Die Maker to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and building precision tooling used by some of the world's leading manufacturers.

As an Apprentice Die Maker, you'll work alongside experienced journeymen learning every aspect of the trade. If you're dependable, eager to learn, and take pride in producing quality work, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Learn

Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD prints.
Build, assemble, and fit precision stamping dies.
Operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and other toolroom equipment.
Perform spotting, fitting, and die adjustments.
Troubleshoot tooling issues and make precision repairs.
Measure components using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision inspection equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work closely with experienced die makers throughout your apprenticeship.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and positive attitude.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Previous machining, welding, automotive, manufacturing, or trade school experience is a plus but not required.
