Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Metrology Engineering Manager to lead our measurement science and calibration initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of metrology systems that ensure precision and compliance across manufacturing and quality assurance processes.

Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Quality Science, Pre-Engineering, or related field is preferred.
Experience working in a quality environment and manufacturing with knowledge of quality documentation.
Expert with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation
Proficiency with gage calibration, including gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) studies.
Strong experience using problem solving methods, 8D and 5 Why.
Proven ability to interpret blueprints and Computer Aided Design (CAD) data.
Knowledge of CMM Programs.
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel).
Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Must not have a pace-maker.

Essential Functions:

Production/Manufacturing:

Lead and manage metrology team on a daily basis to ensure layout requirements meets due dates.
Lead and communicate with CMM operator, facilitating productivity improvements.
Ensure repairs and calibrations are completed on the measurement equipment.
Plan and schedule all layout requirements for layout request, gage certification, annual requirements, gage R&R’s, and all other metrology needs.
Drive quality-related goals, including PPAP, COQ, First Time Quality (FTQ), error-proofing, PPM, and adherence to control plans.
Maintain responsibility for process conformance results.
Develop and execute action plans to achieve metrics goals.
Use problem solving methods to develop successful action plans that achieve permanent corrective actions and eliminate non-conformances.
Participate in the development of departmental standards and be responsible for implementation for all layouts and reports required.
