We are currently looking for an experienced District Manager to join our team. The qualified candidate will oversee locations in the Grand Rapids market. This is a full time - exempt position requiring a minimum of 5+ years of experience. Competitive Salary + Bonus!

District Manager Job Summary:

Works directly with store management to develop high performing leaders and teams in order to execute the plans and vision of Sr. Leadership. The District Manager will be responsible for consistent operational execution at all stores within their assigned concept(s). Typically, a district manager will be expected to oversee 3-5 locations, of 1 or more concepts.

Essential District Manager Duties & Functions:

Grows and develops internal talent to maintain adequate bench strength with succession plans for key positions. Uses Manager Learning Path, Review Board and other tools to keep a pool of promotable candidates available for job openings
Sources, interviews, hires and oversees training of the management team where internal candidates are not available.
Performs weekly store visits consisting of 1-on-1 interaction with location general managers, using the High Impact Restaurant Visit tool developed and approved by Vice President, including, but not limited to interior and exterior “Ready for Revenue” Walk-thrus, establish “punch lists”, training and development, communication, follow-through and action plans.
Performs daily phone check-ins (minimum 5 days a week) for all locations within the group, including an advanced “weekend plan” discussion.
Conducts quarterly audits to ensure full compliance with all aspects of operating procedures and drives consistency across locations, specifically as it applies to menu specifications, systems and tools, training and service standards.
Monitors and regularly reviews systems including checklists, training guides, job aids, etc…for accuracy and makes updates where required.
Ensures facilities and equipment in 100% working order, and is authorized to approve required repair & maintenance needs to a minimum pre-approved dollar amount; Provides Director with budget requests for additional needs.
Oversees and executes excellent training and development of current general managers, assistant managers and kitchen leadership, by scheduled evaluation, review and maintenance of their Learning Path documentation, scheduling of key training initiatives and training within approved training stores where necessary.
Serves as the “first stop” and “solution provider” for any employee grievances and conflict resolution.
Assists or leads product development initiatives in collaboration with the Culinary department including limited time offers, daily and weekly specials and menu updates utilizing trend data, personal research and company flow chart.
Communicates seasonal menu changes and material needs to marketing department and outsources material needs where appropriate.
Ensures a competitor price review and product analysis is conducted at least once a year and recommends pricing changes for all concepts in territory.
Ensures each concept in territory has up to date Product Specification Book(s) (“Spec Book”), Batch Recipe Book(s), Recipe cost software, procedural binders and “common tools” as well as duplicate copies for the Support Office.
Maintains all electronic files for such documents and provides Company with periodic updates when changes are made
Collaborates with the Marketing department to develop annual Marketing plans, and to ensure adequate Marketing support for operational initiatives.
Collaborates with Marketing department to ensure social media practices
Attends some, but not necessarily all, above store leadership meetings as required
Conducts or attends informational “all-store” meetings for any stores within their concepts where required.
Participates in planning, communication and execution of company-wide initiatives or multi-concept projects as needed.
Other duties as necessary to ensure the effective and consistent operational needs of assigned concepts and support of other 4GR8Food Brands.

District Manager Qualifications:

HS Diploma or equivalent
18 – 21 years of age (where required by law)
Preferred Education: Four year degree in business or hospitality management or equivalent combination of training, experience and education.
Preferred Experience: a minimum of 5 year’s of experience as a General Manager or higher, with extensive knowledge of both front and back of house operations.
Demonstrated ability at recruiting, selecting and developing manager candidates
Expert knowledge of concept and adherence to all company policies and procedures
Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area.
Knowledge and or comfort level with various office software and technology including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Google tools (Gmail, Calendars, Sheets, Documents etc.) and other technology-based reporting tools and apps
Exceptional administrative, planning and organizational ability
Full scheduling availability including evenings and weekends where required.
Have the necessary stamina to work on feet for up to 10 hours including stooping, reaching, bending, twisting and lifting/carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
