Head Chef / Chef de Cuisine — Licari's Sicilian Pizza Kitchen Grand Rapids, MI | Full-Time

The Role

We're looking for a confident, experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen and help us deliver the authentic Sicilian dining experiences our guests expect every single service. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in their craft, their team, and their standards.

What We're Looking For

5–7 years of progressive kitchen experience, with at least 2–3 years in a management or supervisory role
Proven track record in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen environment
A genuine passion for food and all things culinary
A collaborative, team-first mindset with the ability to lead by example
Strong personal accountability and the ability to build that same culture across your team
The understanding that this industry is demanding — and also deeply rewarding — and the ability to keep your team energized, accountable, and having fun

Your Responsibilities

Lead and run the line for lunch and dinner services
Ensure quality, consistency, and strict adherence to Licari's recipes and standards
Oversee all prep quality, line execution, and kitchen output
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls
Write and manage staff schedules
Assist in menu development, seasonal features, and monthly specials
Maintain a safe, clean, and fully compliant kitchen in accordance with all health department requirements
Recruit, train, and develop your kitchen team
