Job Title: Engineer

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Director of Engineering/Engineering Manager

Summary:

The Engineer is responsible for leading engineering projects from concept through execution while supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. This role combines project management, mechanical design, problem solving, and hands-on manufacturing support to ensure successful product launches, process improvements, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is passionate about manufacturing, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to be part of a winning team that values innovation, collaboration, employee development, and customer success. This individual thrives in a hands-on environment while utilizing strong technical, leadership, and communication skills to drive results.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead engineering projects from conception through execution with moderate guidance from senior engineering leadership.
Develop and implement manufacturing processes and production improvements.
Utilize sound engineering approach to evaluate problems and implement effective solutions.
Provide hands-on support to manufacturing operations, tooling, fabrication, assembly, and process development activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and cost performance.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product and process compliance.
Effectively communicate project status, technical information, and recommendations to team members and leadership.
Promote teamwork and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated engineering problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal awareness and emotional intelligence.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-directed with effective time and task management skills.
Proficient CAD and drafting skills for manufacturing applications.
Solid understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
Fundamental knowledge of industry-standard manufacturing processes.
Commitment to teamwork and organizational success.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field required.
Minimum of three (3) years of engineering experience with direct project and manufacturing responsibilities.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and manufacturing systems.
Hands-on manufacturing experience preferred, including fabrication, assembly, tooling, mechanical repair, or related activities.
Experience with CAD software and manufacturing documentation required.

Physical Demands:

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Keyboarding.
Verbal communication with others.
Frequent interaction with manufacturing equipment and production areas.
Ability to safely access and evaluate manufacturing processes on the production floor.
