Solution Group is seeking an Equipment, Fleet & Warehouse Manager to lead the management, maintenance, and optimization of our equipment fleet, trailers, warehouse operations, and asset lifecycle programs. This is a unique opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional who combines technical expertise with strong organizational and leadership skills.
What You'll Do
As our Equipment, Fleet & Warehouse Manager, you will serve as the company's subject matter expert for equipment reliability, maintenance, logistics, and asset management. You'll work closely with Operations, Project Managers, vendors, and field teams to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, ready for deployment, and available when our customers need it.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Fleet Management
- Lead the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of company-owned and rental equipment.
- Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, pumps, generators, compressors, hydraulic systems, trailers, and related equipment.
- Coordinate repairs with manufacturers, rental partners, and third-party service providers when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, inspection reports, and asset histories.
- Evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations regarding repair, replacement, rental, or purchase decisions.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, inventory control, staging, storage, and shipping.
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Implement processes that improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure equipment, tools, parts, and supplies are project-ready when needed.
Logistics & Project Support
- Coordinate equipment mobilization and demobilization activities.
- Manage transportation and logistics for equipment deliveries and returns.
- Partner with Operations and Project Managers to forecast equipment needs and support project schedules.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support to field personnel.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Supervise warehouse personnel and contractors as assigned.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures.
- Drive initiatives that increase equipment reliability, improve warehouse performance, and reduce downtime.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, industrial maintenance, fleet maintenance, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience working with:
- Diesel engines
- Pumps and pumping systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical and pneumatic systems
- Generators and compressors
- Trailers and support equipment
- Welding and fabrication
- Experience coordinating service work with vendors, manufacturers, or rental providers.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and asset or inventory management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Repair, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting water, wastewater, environmental, industrial, or construction operations.
- Experience with CMMS or equipment asset management software.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience with mechanical dewatering or belt filter press equipment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work in warehouse, industrial, and outdoor environments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and related equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical work throughout the day.
Travel
- Up to 20% travel to customer sites, vendor locations, and company facilities as needed.
