Full-Time | Permanent Hire | Relocation Available

$80–$110/hour ($166,000–$230,000 annually) | $10,000 Sign-On Bonus | $10,000 Relocation Assistance | Up to $20,000 Student Loan Repayment

Join a nationally recognized nonprofit academic medical center as one of only three Clinical Pharmacy Specialists dedicated to Pain Management and Oncology. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist seeking advanced specialty practice in an award-winning pharmacy department.

Cross-training is available. Whether your background is in Pain Management or Oncology Pharmacy, you'll receive specialized training to develop expertise in both clinical practice areas.

Be one of only 3 Clinical Pharmacy Specialists supporting Pain Management and Oncology
Cross-train in Pain Management or Oncology
Academic-affiliated teaching hospital and trauma center
Integrated decentralized clinical pharmacy practice model
Work alongside oncologists, hospitalists, palliative care physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
Active involvement in pharmacy residency education, research, and quality improvement

Join one of the region's premier clinical pharmacy teams:

50+ Clinical Pharmacists
80% residency-trained and board-certified
Average daily census of approximately 400 patients
Joint faculty appointments with a major university medical center
Active PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs
Progressive clinical pharmacy practice model

As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will:

Provide expert consultations for acute, chronic, breakthrough, and neuropathic pain
Participate in multidisciplinary patient rounds
Monitor and manage inpatient chemotherapy therapy
Oversee chemotherapy compounding and dispensing
Collaborate with Oncology, Palliative Care, Hospital Medicine, Anesthesia, and Hospice teams
Lead opioid stewardship initiatives and optimize pain management practices
Develop clinical guidelines, medication protocols, order sets, and formulary recommendations
Educate physicians, nurses, patients, and caregivers regarding medication therapy
Precept PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents and pharmacy students
Participate in committee work, clinical presentations, and quality improvement initiatives
Support the hospital-wide pharmacy-driven pain management program focused on improving patient outcomes and reducing opioid-related adverse events

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or two years of acute care hospital pharmacy experience
PGY2 Residency in Oncology, Pain Management, Palliative Care, or related specialty preferred - NOT REQUIRED
Relevant clinical experience may substitute for PGY2 residency

Compensation & Benefits

$80–$110/hour
PGY1 graduates begin at $80/hour
PGY2 graduates begin at $84/hour
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus
$10,000 Relocation Assistance
